Ms. Tara Zavabeti

Tara is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and an Accredited Nutritionist (AN) specialising in obesity management and medical nutrition therapy in bariatric surgery.

Tara completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Food Science and Nutrition at RMIT University before completing a Masters of Science at Monash University, a Graduate Diploma of Human Nutrition and a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at Deakin University.

She is a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and the Obesity Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand (OOSSANZ).

Having a solid track record and extensive experience working (over 13 years) in research, nutrition and dietetics has given Tara the proficiency of understanding the diverse nature of factors that contribute to obesity.

She is passionate about delivering the highest level of care by providing practical and personalised nutrition advice based on the latest nutrition research and evidence based practice guidelines.

Tara can provide you with comprehensive pre and post-surgical nutrition consultations, guiding the bariatric patients through all phases of the pre and post-surgical diet.
